I love the inner workings of web applications, enjoy listening to clients and love putting smiles on peoples faces. I believe that learning never ends and that sharing knowledge is a blessing. I'm a big fan of group projects where multiple interdisciplinary professionals come together.

At Thomas More Geel, the school I did my bachelor's in, there was a strong emphasis on Professional Skills. We learned a plethora of development methodologies with a very hands-on approach. Projects were often made as close to the real experience as possible with things like client consultations, stand-up meetings and documentation. I have never been strong in UI/UX design, but I do enjoy it from time to time. We went over all the tools in school, but it isn't something I have practiced much. I am easy to pick up new frameworks and like to learn the inner workings of them. I love implementing CI/CD pipelines and believe they are a necessity in our current day and age. Implementation of security is my weakest point, but I'm still aware of security risks which is equally important as defending against them.

Education

Some might find secondary education not worth mentioning. In my case it was something special that helped me set the foundation for future studies. At the Damiaan Instituut Aarschot I studied Electronics-Electricity. Here I did a ton of programming, giving me an edge compared to my peers.

In 2024 I got the opportunity to study in Trollhättan, Sweden.

Recently I had the amazing opportunity of creating a website for a colleague's catering business. He requested a simple website with only a couple of pages. But it was very interesting nonetheless since I got the opportunity to work with someone with less IT-knowledge. Working with him greatly increased my communication skills.

In school, we got tasked to meet up with a client and listen to a project she wanted to realize. But before realizing a project you first have to document all the requirements of the application. So the task of the assigment was to set up a use case diagram, write use case descriptions and visualize the app as a prototype. All while meeting the requirements of the client.

I hadn't done anything with Electronics in a while, so I was starting to get an itch. I decided to make an Audio Spectrum Analyzer to visualize the music I love. Audio comes and gets filtered based on frequency. The strength of the output of the filter is then printed on a LED-strip. The light of the LEDs are amplified with acrylic glass. Everything is made as professionally as possible with things like audio jacks, 3D prints and power connections.
